Concrete Canvas came to public attention after Peter Brewin and Will Crawford proposed this movable shelter called CC01,in 2004, with special features for use for refugees.The work was then developed to be Concrete Canvas and Concrete canvas Shelter,made from material technology called Concrete cloth that allows concrete to be used in a completely new way.By positioning and filling with water,the volume of the sacks control the water:cement ratio,eliminating water measurements.While the cement hydrates,this is aided by the fiber matrix which wicks water into the cement.The work can provide quick accommodation,field offices and medical clinics as well as temporary drainpipes and bunkers,including passage ways.
